These Terms and Conditions govern all passenger transport, chauffeur, airport transfer, corporate travel, event transport, wedding, funeral, cruise-port transfer, bespoke tour and related services booked with Deepsea Chauffeur. By making a booking, paying a deposit or fare, accepting a quotation, using a vehicle, or allowing a passenger to use a booked service, the Customer agrees to these Terms.
Booking: a confirmed request for Services accepted by Deepsea Chauffeur in writing, by email, WhatsApp, telephone confirmation, booking system or invoice.
Customer: the person, company or organisation that requests, arranges or pays for the Booking.
Passenger: each person travelling or intended to travel under a Booking, including a guest booked by the Customer.
Services: chauffeur-driven private-hire passenger transport and any agreed related services.
Journey: the transport service described in the Booking Confirmation.
Booking Confirmation: the written confirmation, quotation, invoice, email, message or system record setting out the agreed Journey details and price.
Chauffeur Partner: a licensed chauffeur, private-hire driver, operator, fleet owner or other approved service provider engaged through the Deepsea Chauffeur network.
Vehicle: the vehicle allocated to perform the Journey, whether directly supplied or supplied through a Chauffeur Partner.
Business Customer: a Customer acting wholly or mainly for business, trade or professional purposes.
Consumer: an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their business, trade or profession.
A quotation is an invitation to book and does not reserve a Vehicle unless expressly stated. A binding contract is formed only when Deepsea Chauffeur issues a Booking Confirmation or otherwise confirms acceptance of the Booking.
The Customer must provide complete and accurate information, including collection and destination addresses, date, time, passenger name and contact number, number of passengers, luggage requirements, flight or train details, child-seat requirements, accessibility needs, requested Vehicle class and any material special instructions.
The Customer is responsible for checking the Booking Confirmation immediately and notifying Deepsea Chauffeur of any error. Deepsea Chauffeur is not responsible for loss caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the Customer or Passenger.
Bookings are subject to availability, licensing restrictions, vehicle suitability, driver-hours rules, operational feasibility and acceptance by Deepsea Chauffeur.
A person booking on behalf of another Passenger confirms that they have authority to do so and must ensure the Passenger is made aware of these Terms. The Customer remains liable for all charges and for the conduct of the Passenger unless Deepsea Chauffeur agrees otherwise in writing.
Deepsea Chauffeur may decline a Booking where it cannot be performed safely, lawfully or to the required service standard.
Unless stated otherwise, the quoted price covers the Journey described in the Booking Confirmation only. Any material change may alter the price.
Prices will state whether VAT is included or added. Where VAT applies, a VAT invoice will be provided where appropriate.
Additional charges may apply for waiting time, parking, airport access or drop-off charges, tolls, congestion charges, clean-air or road-user charges, ferries, additional stops, route changes, extended mileage, chauffeur accommodation, overnight subsistence, exceptional cleaning, damage, child seats, special equipment or other costs not included in the original quotation.
Where parking, tolls or statutory charges are not known in advance, they may be charged after the Journey at cost or as otherwise stated in the Booking Confirmation.
If the Passenger requests a diversion, additional stop or material extension, the chauffeur may accept it subject to time, safety and legal limits. Additional time and mileage will be charged at the rate stated in the Booking Confirmation or, if no rate is stated, at Deepsea Chauffeur’s reasonable prevailing rate.
Quotations may be revised if there is an obvious pricing error, inaccurate journey information or a significant change requested before acceptance. Once accepted, prices will not be changed except as permitted by these Terms or agreed with the Customer.
Payment terms will be stated in the Booking Confirmation. Deepsea Chauffeur may require full prepayment, a deposit, card pre-authorisation or another approved payment method before confirming a Booking.
Unless corporate credit terms have been agreed in writing, all sums must be paid before the Journey or by the payment deadline stated in the Booking Confirmation.
For corporate account customers, invoices are payable within the agreed credit period. If no period is stated, payment is due within 14 days of invoice date.
Deepsea Chauffeur may suspend or cancel future Services where payment is overdue, subject to any legal rights the Customer may have.
The Customer is responsible for reasonable costs incurred in recovering overdue business debts. Statutory interest and compensation may be charged where legally permitted.
Chargebacks or payment disputes must not be raised fraudulently. The Customer should first contact Deepsea Chauffeur so that any genuine dispute can be investigated.
Requests to change a Booking must be made as early as possible. A change is not accepted until confirmed by Deepsea Chauffeur.
Changes to date, time, route, passenger numbers, luggage or Vehicle class are subject to availability and may result in a revised price.
Where a requested change cannot reasonably be accommodated, the original Booking remains in force unless cancelled under clause 6.
Repeated or substantial changes may be treated as a cancellation and a new Booking.
The Customer may cancel by telephone, email or WhatsApp using the contact details on the Booking Confirmation. Cancellation takes effect when received and acknowledged by Deepsea Chauffeur.
For standard single-vehicle Journeys, the following cancellation charges normally apply: more than 24 hours before collection - no cancellation charge, except non-refundable third-party costs already incurred; between 12 and 24 hours - up to 50% of the agreed Journey price; less than 12 hours before collection, after chauffeur dispatch, or after the chauffeur has arrived - up to 100% of the agreed Journey price.
For weddings, funerals, major events, roadshows, tours, multi-vehicle bookings, specialist vehicles, longdistance journeys or bookings involving non-refundable third-party commitments, bespoke cancellation terms may apply and will be stated in the quotation or Booking Confirmation.
Cancellation charges are intended to reflect reasonable anticipated loss, reserved vehicle and chauffeur capacity, administrative work and third-party costs. Deepsea Chauffeur will take account of costs saved and any ability to reallocate the Vehicle. A Consumer may request an explanation of the charge.
Where Deepsea Chauffeur cancels because it cannot provide the agreed Service and no acceptable alternative is agreed, any amount paid for the unprovided Service will be refunded promptly. This does not affect clause 16 concerning events outside reasonable control. Passenger transport bookings do not generally benefit from the standard 14-day cooling-off right applying to many distance contracts. The cancellation rights set out in this clause therefore apply, subject always to mandatory law.
For non-airport collections, a complimentary waiting period of 10 minutes applies from the booked collection time, unless the Booking Confirmation states otherwise.
After the complimentary period, waiting time is chargeable at the rate stated in the Booking Confirmation or Deepsea Chauffeur’s prevailing rate. Parking and other costs remain payable.
For airport arrivals, where a valid flight number has been supplied, the planned collection time will be adjusted by reference to the actual flight arrival. Unless otherwise stated, 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time applies from actual landing time. The Customer may request a different meet time when booking.
If no valid flight number is supplied, waiting time will run from the booked collection time and Deepsea Chauffeur is not responsible for missed or delayed monitoring.
For train, cruise, event and venue collections, the complimentary waiting time will be as stated in the Booking Confirmation or, if unstated, 15 minutes from the booked time.
A no-show occurs where the Passenger cannot be located or contacted after reasonable efforts and the applicable waiting period has expired. The full Journey price, waiting time, parking and other incurred charges may then be payable.
The Passenger must keep their telephone switched on and contactable around the collection time. If the Passenger cannot locate the chauffeur, they must contact Deepsea Chauffeur before leaving the collection point or arranging alternative transport.
The Customer must provide the correct airport, terminal, flight number, airline, origin or destination, scheduled arrival or departure time, and a contactable passenger number.
Flight monitoring is provided only where accurate flight information is supplied. Monitoring does not guarantee that every operational change will be identified, particularly where airlines alter flight numbers, terminals or schedules without timely public updates.
For airport pickups, the chauffeur will meet the Passenger at the agreed location. Meet-and-greet and nameboard arrangements must be requested or confirmed where required.
The Customer must allow sufficient travel time for check-in, security, road conditions and airport procedures. Deepsea Chauffeur may provide general journey-time guidance but does not guarantee flight check-in or boarding.
If a flight is cancelled, diverted or materially delayed, the Customer should notify Deepsea Chauffeur promptly. The Booking may be rescheduled where practicable; additional costs or cancellation charges may apply depending on chauffeur dispatch, vehicle commitment and third-party costs.
Airport parking, terminal access, drop-off and pickup fees are payable unless expressly included in the quoted price.
Images, model names and vehicle descriptions on the website are illustrative of a vehicle category. Unless a specific Vehicle is expressly guaranteed in writing, Deepsea Chauffeur may provide a comparable or upgraded Vehicle.
Deepsea Chauffeur operates through its own resources and a trusted network of licensed Chauffeur Partners. The Customer authorises Deepsea Chauffeur to allocate, subcontract or transfer performance of a Booking to an appropriate Chauffeur Partner while Deepsea Chauffeur remains responsible for managing the Booking in accordance with applicable law and these Terms.
Vehicle allocation is subject to availability, maintenance, licensing, safety, operational disruption and circumstances outside reasonable control.
The Customer must select a Vehicle suitable for the number of passengers and quantity and dimensions of luggage. Safety and legal limits must not be exceeded. The chauffeur may refuse unsafe overloading.
Oversized or unusual luggage, wheelchairs, mobility equipment, sports equipment, musical instruments or other large items must be declared before booking. Undeclared items may not be carried if they cannot be transported safely.
Where the booked Vehicle becomes unavailable, Deepsea Chauffeur may provide a suitable alternative. If no suitable alternative can be provided, the Customer will receive a refund for the affected unprovided Service.
Passengers must comply with reasonable instructions from the chauffeur and must not behave in a way that is unlawful, unsafe, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, disruptive or likely to damage the Vehicle.
Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all Vehicles. Illegal drugs and unlawful items must not be carried.
Seat belts must be worn where fitted. The Customer is responsible for ensuring children and dependent passengers use appropriate restraints in accordance with law.
Deepsea Chauffeur may refuse or terminate a Journey where a Passenger presents a safety risk, is excessively intoxicated, behaves abusively, attempts to exceed Vehicle capacity, or refuses lawful safety instructions. The Journey charge may remain payable where termination results from Passenger conduct.
Passengers are responsible for their personal property. Items must not obstruct the chauffeur or compromise safety.
Animals may be carried only by prior agreement, except assistance dogs where legal rights apply. The Customer must disclose the animal and ensure suitable restraint and cleanliness arrangements.
Child-seat requirements must be stated when booking. Availability is not guaranteed unless confirmed.
Where Deepsea Chauffeur supplies a child seat, the accompanying adult remains responsible for checking that it is appropriate for the child and for securing the child correctly, except to the extent the law places responsibility elsewhere.
The Customer may provide their own compliant child seat. Installation and suitability remain the Customer’s responsibility unless expressly agreed otherwise.
The Customer is responsible for loss, damage or exceptional cleaning caused by the Passenger, their guests, luggage, animals or belongings, excluding fair wear and tear.
Deepsea Chauffeur may charge the reasonable cost of cleaning, repair, specialist treatment, vehicle downtime and associated losses where the Vehicle is soiled, contaminated or damaged.
Where practicable, evidence and an explanation of the charge will be provided. Any charge must be proportionate to the actual or reasonably anticipated loss.
The Customer must promptly report any damage noticed at the start of the Journey.
Passengers should check the Vehicle before leaving. Deepsea Chauffeur is not responsible for property left behind except where loss results from a failure to exercise reasonable care.
Found property will be handled in accordance with applicable licensing requirements and Deepsea Chauffeur’s lost-property procedure.
Return or delivery of found property may be subject to a reasonable charge covering chauffeur time, postage, parking and travel costs.
Perishable, hazardous, unlawful or low-value items may be disposed of where permitted by law and licensing rules.
Journey times are estimates. Traffic, road closures, weather, accidents, security restrictions, public events, airport congestion and other conditions may cause delay.
The chauffeur will select a route reasonably considered appropriate.
The Customer may request a route, but the chauffeur may decline where it is unsafe, unlawful or materially impractical.
Deepsea Chauffeur does not guarantee arrival by a particular time unless an express written guarantee is included in the Booking Confirmation.
The Customer must allow appropriate contingency time for flights, trains, events, appointments and other time-critical commitments.
Deepsea Chauffeur will perform the Services with reasonable care and skill and within a reasonable time where no fixed time is agreed, subject to traffic and other operational conditions.
Deepsea Chauffeur will take reasonable steps to provide an appropriately licensed, insured and roadworthy Vehicle and a suitably licensed chauffeur or Chauffeur Partner.
Nothing in these Terms reduces any mandatory statutory rights available to a Consumer.
Deepsea Chauffeur is not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside its reasonable control, including severe weather, flood, fire, epidemic, pandemic restrictions, road closure, major accident, civil disturbance, terrorism, security alert, strike, public transport disruption, government action, fuel shortage, telecommunications failure, vehicle breakdown despite reasonable maintenance, or sudden chauffeur illness.
Deepsea Chauffeur will use reasonable efforts to notify the Customer, minimise disruption and arrange an alternative where practicable.
Where the Service cannot be provided because of such an event, the Customer will be charged only for Services already provided and reasonable unavoidable costs, subject to mandatory consumer law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
Deepsea Chauffeur is responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by its breach of contract or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable where it was an obvious consequence or was contemplated by both parties when the Booking was made.
Deepsea Chauffeur is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, missed flights, trains, events, appointments, business opportunities, profits or consequential costs except where such loss results from a breach for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded or where an express written guarantee was provided.
For Business Customers only, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, Deepsea Chauffeur’s aggregate liability arising from a Booking will not exceed the greater of: (a) the total price paid or payable for that Booking; or (b) the amount recoverable under the applicable insurance policy, except for liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited.
The Customer must take reasonable steps to reduce avoidable loss, including allowing sufficient contingency time and notifying Deepsea Chauffeur promptly of any issue.
Any complaint should be made as soon as reasonably possible, preferably within 14 days of the Journey, by emailing bookings@deepseachauffeur.com or contacting +44 7846 573796.
The Customer should provide the booking reference, date, Passenger name, Journey details and a clear description of the issue.
Deepsea Chauffeur will acknowledge and investigate complaints fairly and may request supporting information.
Where a Consumer Service has not been performed with reasonable care and skill, statutory remedies may include repeat performance or an appropriate price reduction where legally applicable.
Approved refunds will normally be made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Refund timing may depend on the payment provider, but Deepsea Chauffeur will process approved refunds without undue delay.
Refunds may be reduced by lawful cancellation charges, Services already supplied, waiting time, parking, tolls, third-party costs and other sums properly due under these Terms.
Corporate account use is subject to account approval, agreed credit terms and authorised-booker controls.
The Business Customer is responsible for all Bookings made through its account by authorised users or persons who reasonably appear authorised, unless it has notified Deepsea Chauffeur of unauthorised use without delay.
The Business Customer must ensure Passenger names, contact details and any special requirements are accurate and lawfully shared.
Unless agreed otherwise, the Business Customer remains liable for all Journey charges, cancellations, waiting time, damage and other sums arising from Bookings made on its account.
Deepsea Chauffeur will process personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law.
Booking information may be shared with Chauffeur Partners, payment providers, technology suppliers, insurers, professional advisers, regulators and authorities where reasonably necessary to provide the Service, process payment, comply with law or protect legitimate interests.
The Customer must ensure they have a lawful basis to provide another Passenger’s personal information and should direct that Passenger to the Privacy Policy.
Service communications may be sent by telephone, SMS, WhatsApp, email or booking system. Marketing communications will be handled separately in accordance with applicable law and preferences.
Website content is provided for general information and may be updated without notice.
The Deepsea Chauffeur name, logo, website content, photographs, graphics and other materials are owned by or licensed to Deepsea Chauffeur and may not be copied or commercially used without permission.
Website availability is not guaranteed and Deepsea Chauffeur is not responsible for temporary technical interruption beyond its reasonable control.
If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right.
No person other than the Customer, Deepsea Chauffeur and, where applicable, the Passenger has a right to enforce these Terms, except as provided by law.
Deepsea Chauffeur may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when a Booking is confirmed will normally apply to that Booking.
These Terms, together with the Booking Confirmation and Privacy Policy, form the agreement between the parties. If there is a conflict, any expressly agreed special term in the Booking Confirmation takes priority for that Booking.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If the Customer is a Consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, they retain any mandatory rights to bring proceedings in the courts applicable to their home jurisdiction.
Business Customers agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
